We need to map the overall supply of structures and of specialised doctors, so as to highlight and build on their value, sign agreements with foreign insurance companies, prepare integrated itineraries and open a web portal that lists what the public and the private sectors have to offer.
That is the only way that Medical Tourism will be able to offer the entire Italian National Health System, and in particular the private sector, an important opportunity of development, because what we need is not new resources, but a new way of making the most of what we have and of organising it effectively and efficiently.
