HTI: THE LARGEST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN THE HEALTH TOURISM INDUSTRY IS TAKING PLACE ONCE AGAIN IN CROATIA

The seventh celebrated HTI Conference (Health Tourism Industry), the largest international event of its kind in Europe, will take place once again in Croatia. The conference will be held from February 28 – March 2, 2017 at the Hotel Lone in Rovinj, bringing together the leading stakeholders in global health tourism from both the private and public sector. Innovative 3-in-1 integrated events will include two new international events – the IHLA Summit (International Luxury Hotel Association), and the TTM Festival (Taste the Mediterranean).

The HTI Conference will gather a large number of top professionals in the health tourism industry from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, who through a series of exciting thematic panels and presentations will introduce the best models and practices, as well as draw attention to trends and challenges in the industry. Official representatives of the European Commission, European Parliament, and the Medical Tourism Association have confirmed their attendance at the conference. The aim of the conference is to enable service providers in the industry with the opportunity to create new partnerships, establish new contacts with buyers from around the world, share mutual experiences, and learn about the trends and prospects in such a challenging market.

The innovative concept of integrated events will include two additional international events – the European Luxury Hospitality Summit, organised by the ILHA (International Luxury Hotel Association), and the TTM Taste the Mediterranean Festival. The European Luxury Hospitality Summit is intended for hotels and hotel chains; representatives from the public sector; travel agencies; educators, agents, and representatives in the hospitality and catering industry; as well as stakeholders whose aim is to increase business in the full-service hospitality industry. Taste the Mediterranean Festival will present the Mediterranean diet, which is acknowledged by the World Health Organisation as the healthiest in the world, and is on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The TTM Festival will offer theoretical and practical workshops, lectures, and seminars by the best nutritionists and most esteemed Michelin Star chefs.

As part of the program, we will be awarding recognitions to the best professionals in health tourism (medical, spa, and wellness tourism).
The HTI Conference is organised in partnership with the Croatian Chamber of Economy and under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Tourism.
